The new Lucky Bay playground which was installed in late 2020 has been well received by the community following a busy summer period.

The playground has been in use since early December and officially opened in January, with locals and visitors enjoying the structure during the festive season.

The Lucky Bay Shack Owners Association received grant funding of $58,000 from the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal for the playground project, in addition to $38,000 from Variety SA and $35,000 from the Franklin Harbour District Council, while raising $20,000 and providing $13,500 worth of in-kind support.

Association president Sue Chase said it was a true community effort to complete the playground project and that feedback was positive.
